L'AEMFQ SERVICE OFFER

L’AÉMFQ, a well established association since 1997, reiterates its service offer to the day care workers, in the still current context of « independant worker » status.  Defending the status of independent worker, a well established expertise within l’AÉMFQ!

Considering that the day care worker is an independent worker, managing her own service business, fully assuming her professional responsibilities and asserting her rights in an ethical approach aiming at the acknowledgement of her profession, l’AÉMFQ proposes:

An exclusive representation:

  • Only the day care workers are served by l’AÉMFQ;

A representation focused on the independent worker:

  • The day care worker is a professional who offers a quality service to her clientele, within the controlled day care, in a balance between her rights and her responsibilities and not as an institutional public service.

  • The independent worker must have the right to choose her administrative services and to take part in the improvement of her working conditions, by improving the law, the rules and  the administrative regulations that govern her;

  • The rights of the independent worker, such as being able to choose his service organisation, should always be granted;

  • The respect of her family environment must be respected;

A representation which makes no concession to your rights:

  • A day care worker is attributable to her service, she must have the latitude to organize her service in the respect of her professional requirements and of her own environment;

  • The rules and the laws governing the day care services must be imprinted with the presence of this reality unlike a tendency aiming at reducing her decision- making power;

  • The administrative standards must be regularized in order that the day care reality  be the same for all workers. All the Coordinating Offices should have the same ministerial interpretation rules.  A non completed mission;

A present and active community life with a proven model of communication giving you the right:

  • To be consulted;

  • To take part in the democratic life at the local, regional and provincial levels;

  • Receive all the information without any screen or directed orientation;

  • A well informed worker can makes the appropriate choices for herself, her family and her profession;

Association services adapted to the requirements of the day care:

  • A code of ethics;

  • An informative voice mail on the day care environment;

  • A counselling service and/or escort for meetings with the Coordinator Office;

  • An interactive facebook;

The price of community life at l’AÉMFQ :

At l’AÉMFQ, all moneys paid by the workers stay within their association for their own services.  But, besides this simple fact which demonstrates with evidence an economy to make, l’AÉMFQ has always fought against the principle of the percentage.  Why pay with a percentage? Does not this look like another tax?  To the opposite, do we pay our gas or our groceries by a percentage?

We believe that pre-paying a fixed price for the value of a service received and available better reflects the vision of l’AÉMFQ.  Community life must be fixed and after everybody, without discrimination, pay the just price.  A unique basic price seems more fair to us.

And, considering that afterwards everyone makes his proper choice  and, this way, adjusts the pricing to his needs and means, the principle of choosing his administrative services for an independent worker is then well demonstrated.

At the beginning, we start with the premise that the membership to the community life must be topped at 300$ annually, therefore a payment of 25$ monthly.
